Brooklyn Center Academy
Brooklyn Center Academy (BCA) serves non-traditional students in grades 9-12. We are located approximately one mile west of Brooklyn Center High School, on Shingle Creek Parkway. BCA staff members do a fabulous job individualizing instruction for all students in small classroom settings. Courses offered cover the core content areas of math, science, social studies and language arts. Additional classes offered include work based learning, teen parenting, and business courses. Students can also choose from a large variety of online courses in order to meet their graduation requirements. BCA staff members incorporate field trips into their course work such as recreational sports activities, college visits, and other excursions intended to build upon the school community. In addition to academics and filed trips. Students at BCA have access to support services such as mental health and chemical dependency counseling, and child care services. Finally, students can also participate in after school programming and/or summer school to recover credits or prepare for state testing.
If you have questions, would like to tour the school, and/or would like to register, call the BCA or stop in between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
